We are excited to announce a major update to DLive’s virtual currency system, transitioning from Lemons to a new dual-currency model featuring Diamonds and Coins. This change is designed to simplify and improve the way you support your favorite creators and manage your earnings.
What’s Changing?
- Diamonds: Diamonds are your new way to engage on DLive! You can use them to buy virtual gifts, subscribe to channels, and fill treasure chests. You can acquire Diamonds through fiat top-ups, platform activities, treasure chest claims, and referral bonuses.
- Coins: Represent a creator’s revenue share from viewer donations and subscriptions. This virtual currency can be converted into Diamonds for continued use on the platform.
Key Changes to Your Balance
All existing Lemons in your account will be automatically converted to Diamonds. We’re also giving all users who have Lemon balance or who have Diamond balance a one-time chance to convert their Diamonds into Coins.
Who Can Convert Coins and How the Amount is Determined
Users will be divided into two categories for processing:
1. Viewers – users who have never had gift income or subscription income.
- All Lemon balances will be converted into Diamonds.
- Maximum convertible Coins = 0.
2. Streamers – users who have gift and subscription income.
Conversion rules:
- Withdrawable earnings = max(0, historical gift share + historical subscription share – historical total withdrawals)
- Withdrawable earnings cannot be less than 0; if the result is negative, it will default to 0.
- Coin balance = min(Current Lemon balance, Withdrawable earnings)
- the smaller of the two values
- Diamond balance = Current Lemon balance – Coin balance

- Historical gift income: 1000
- Historical subscription income: 1000
- Historical top-up: 1000
- Historical spending: 500
- Historical withdrawals: 1800
- Current Lemon balance: 500
After conversion:
- Coin balance = Historical gift income 1000 + Historical subscription income 1000 – Historical withdrawals 1800 = 200
- Diamond balance = Current Lemon balance 500 – Coin balance 200 = 300
Streamer B
- Historical gift income: 1000
- Historical subscription income: 1000
- Historical activity rewards: 1000
- Historical withdrawals: 2300
- Current Lemon balance: 700
After conversion:
- Withdrawable earnings = max(0, Historical gift income 1000 + Historical subscription income 1000 – Historical withdrawals 2300) = 0
- Coin balance = 0 (Withdrawable earnings value is smaller than current Lemon balance, therefore, the value here would be withdrawable earnings)
- Diamond balance = Current Lemon balance 700 – Coin balance 0 = 700
